OUR HISTORY

Built on a Lifetime in the Outdoors

George Lake Outfitting was built from a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and the Canadian wilderness.

After spending decades exploring Northern Saskatchewan’s incredible backcountry, Rob Spencer turned a lifelong dream into reality by establishing a remote fly-in hunting and fishing camp deep in Northern Saskatchewan. Located nearly 90 miles beyond the end of the paved road, our camp sits on the shoreline of beautiful George Lake and is accessible only by float plane.

This isn’t just another outfitting operation. It’s a place built for hunters and anglers who want to experience true wilderness the way it was meant to be.

Philosophy

Our Philosophy

We believe the greatest outdoor experiences come from respecting the land. While we’re licensed for 50 black bear tags each season, we intentionally welcome only 18 to 20 hunters a year. By limiting the number of hunters on our 3.5-million-acre Northern Saskatchewan territory, we maintain healthy bear populations, reduce hunting pressure, and consistently deliver exceptional opportunities. It’s never been about filling every tag — it’s about unforgettable wilderness adventures that protect the resource for generations to come.
