George Lake Outfitting Is Now Part of the Worldwide Trophy Adventures Network
We’re glad to share some news: George Lake Outfitting has been accepted into the Worldwide Trophy Adventures (WTA) network — one of the largest booking and vetting agencies in the hunting and fishing industry.
What Worldwide Trophy Adventures Does
WTA works with hunters and anglers to find, vet, and book trips with outfitters they can trust. Before an outfitter gets listed, WTA’s consultants do the legwork — checking harvest rates, safety, and guest experience — so their clients aren’t rolling the dice on an unfamiliar camp in an unfamiliar province. They also run an in-house travel agency that handles the logistics side of a trip: flights, firearm and gear transport, and the details that are easy to overlook until they become a problem at the airport.
What It Means for You
Acceptance into that network is a form of third-party validation — WTA doesn’t list outfitters that can’t back up their numbers. For George Lake, that means our 40–50% record-book black bear harvest rate, our float-plane-only access, and a fishery we’ve actively managed since 2003 held up to outside scrutiny, not just our own marketing.
Practically, it gives you another way to book with us, with WTA’s consultants able to help with trip planning and logistics on top of what we already handle in camp.
Booking Direct Is Still an Option
If you’d rather deal with camp directly — no middle step, no added layer — that hasn’t changed. You can still book a bear hunt, a fishing trip, or our bear-and-fishing combo package straight through us and get the same personal service Rob Spencer has run this camp on since 2016.
Either way you book it, you’re getting the same 3.5 million acres of licensed territory and the same lake we’ve managed for trophy fish since 2003.

FAQ
Can I still book directly with George Lake Outfitting instead of through Worldwide Trophy Adventures?
Yes. Being part of the WTA network is an additional booking channel, not a replacement for booking direct.
What is Worldwide Trophy Adventures?
A hunting and fishing booking and consulting agency that vets outfitters before listing them and helps clients handle trip logistics like travel and firearm transport.
Does booking through Worldwide Trophy Adventures cost more than booking direct?
Worldwide Trophy Adventures states that pricing is the same whether you book directly with the outfitter or through their consultants — check with either team to confirm details for your specific trip.
